How does the product work...:

The product is installed through the tyre valve when the wheel rotates the product starts to evenly distributed within the tyre and applies a protective coating on the inner tread area. When a foreign object penetrates the tyre and passes through the protective coating air pressure from within forces the product into the wound to give an effective seal.

By sealing the puncture wound instantly helps to maintain correct operating pressure and reduces additional heat build-up within the tyre which increases rapid tread wear.

Drivesafe tyre sealant differs from what is available on the market today as other products are watery fibrous solutions which wash about within the tyre, solutions which wash about offer poor sealing capabilities due to the solution washing around and away from the puncture wound. Drivesafe products are a gel-like consistency which is designed to adhere to the inner tread section of the tyre where it applies a protective coating. If the equipment parks up with the puncture at the top of the tyre Drivesafe will still retain the seal where a watery solution will wash and gather at the tyre base.

Drivesafe tyre sealant is water soluble and environmentally friendly in the event the product needs to be removed from the tyre for a repair to be undertaken it can be washed out with just water then a repair to relevant industry standards can be carried out. Tyres containing Drivesafe tyre sealant can be removed from the wheel in the normal way with no specialist equipment required.

This product is a thicker viscosity with additional strength and elasticity within the solution due to the higher operating pressures of OTR tyres. Drivesafe heavy duty PLUS+ tyre sealant will seal what the tyre casing can safely sustain as you have the difference in casing quality from budget to premium grade and take into account no 2 puncture wounds are the same as the angle of penetration, any damage occurred to the construction of the tyre, whether the foreign object is lodged within the tyre or its been ejected leaving an open wound.

By sealing the puncture wound instantly enables the equipment to continue and reduces the possibility of damaging the tyre further from running under pressure which could lead to a possible tyre blowout.

Heavy duty product is also suitable for off-road plant and equipment ranging from a ride on lawn mower through to loader and dumpers. The product is also suitable for equipment with operating pressures as low as 5psi

Heavy duty PLUS+ product is purely for off-road applications in heavy industrial equipment such as loaders, dumpers and material handling equipment in Ports etc. This product has been designed and formulated due to the problems on the heavier material handling equipment side, the product is thicker and more adhesive so it sticks to the tyre better more effectively offering better sealing capabilities.
